Michael Holmes is an award-winning anchor and correspondent for CNN International, based at the network’s headquarters in Atlanta.
Holmes, who has been in journalism for more than three decades, anchors the 1000ET/1600CET edition of ‘International Desk’, the weekday news program that covers the major stories of the day with an emphasis on live, up-to-the-minute reports from CNN correspondents all over the world.
Holmes, who joined CNNI in 1996 as the first Australian anchor for the network, has reported extensively from all corners of the globe including Asia, Europe, the Middle East, India, Nepal, Africa, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Candy Reid is a sports anchor for CNN International. Based in the network's world headquarters in Atlanta, she is one of the anchors for the global sports wrap-up show "World Sport," which airs numerous times during the day on CNN International. In addition, she provides global sports updates for the weekday newscasts 'Your World Today' and 'CNN Today.'
She has been an anchor/reporter for "World Sport" since May 2002. During this time, she has interviewed many notable stars from the sports world, including tennis players Andre Agassi, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick and Justine Henin; basketball's Manu Ginobili; and pro-golfer Phil Mickelson and golf legend Jack Nicklaus.
Prior to this position, she was an associate producer for the program. While attending the University of Tennessee, she was an anchor/reporter for the university's television and radio stations as well as a reporter for school's newspaper, The Daily Beacon.
